In this zine, the phrase “力拔山河气盖世” comes from a Chinese pipa song (Ambush on All Sides). It feels like a mantra to repeat as I consider my power or lack thereof as a Chinese American designer. Rather than retracing a path, I hope to forge a new one while reflecting on the revolutionary histories of Asian American politics and its relationship to design, publishing, art, and the self.
